Also known as: आंवला
Amla is low in potassium (198 mg/100g) and rich in vitamin C (600 mg/100g) — a kidney-friendly fruit traditionally used in Indian medicine. Two amlas provide ~60 mg potassium. Safe for all CKD stages in normal portions. Amla juice is more concentrated — moderate portions and count it as fluid in dialysis.
Values are approximate, based on USDA FoodData Central and ICMR-NIN Indian Food Composition Tables. Actual values vary by variety, ripeness, serving size, and cooking method. The database rating is a general reference, not an individualized diet recommendation.
2 fruits (30g) — always count this toward your daily potassium, phosphorus, and (on dialysis) fluid budget.
