UACR 45 mg/g is microalbuminuria (stage A2) — the earliest detectable kidney damage, most commonly from diabetes. This is the stage where treatment can prevent progression.
UACR measures albumin leaking into urine, corrected for urine concentration. It is the earliest marker of kidney damage — and the strongest predictor of CKD progression after eGFR.
Single urine sample (first morning void preferred). No 24-hour collection needed.
