UACR 300 mg/g is the A3 threshold — severe albuminuria (macroalbuminuria). High risk of progression to kidney failure and cardiovascular events.
UACR measures albumin leaking into urine, corrected for urine concentration. It is the earliest marker of kidney damage — and the strongest predictor of CKD progression after eGFR.
Single urine sample (first morning void preferred). No 24-hour collection needed.
