Also known as: फलों का जूस
Packaged fruit juices concentrate potassium (200+ mg/100g) and sugar — a double problem for kidney patients. A glass of orange juice delivers ~470 mg potassium and ~25g sugar. For CKD stages 3-5, dialysis, and diabetic kidney disease, avoid packaged juices entirely. Whole fruit (in allowed portions) is always better — fiber slows absorption and portions stay controlled.
Values are approximate, based on USDA FoodData Central and ICMR-NIN Indian Food Composition Tables. Actual values vary by variety, ripeness, serving size, and cooking method. The database rating is a general reference, not an individualized diet recommendation.
1 cup (240mL) — always count this toward your daily potassium, phosphorus, and (on dialysis) fluid budget.
